ROBREDO WINS IN SOPOT

Spaniard Tommy Robredo won his first ATP title of 2007 with a 7-5, 6-0 victory over unseeded Jose Acasuso in Sunday's Orange Prokom Open final. The match lasted one hour and 22 minutes


www.atptennis.com Robredo now has five ATP titles (all on clay), including the ATP Masters Series event in Hamburg last year. The victory improves the Spaniard's Sopot lifetime record to 11-1, and boosts his 2007 win-loss mark to 35-18 (18-9 on clay).

Robredo, who had swapped two breaks with Acasuso earlier in the first set, had to fight off two set points when serving at 4-5 down. But the Spaniard rallied to close out the first set and then dropped just six points in the second set, winning the last nine games of the match. He closed out the final winning the last seven points
Robredo needed three sets to win his first three matches (d. Kubot, Darcis, Koubek) before defeating Gilles Simon in straight sets in the semifinals and Acasuso in the final.
