www.atptennis.com- Chasing a second consecutive ATP Masters Series title, Rafael Nadal reached the Sony Ericsson Open QFs Tuesday with a 6-0, 6-4 win over Juan Martin del Potro. Nadal next meets new Top 10 player, 19-year-old Novak Djokovic, whom he defeated in the final of the Pacific Life Open earlier this month.
Nadal saved both break points against del Potro en route to his 200th career victory.

Nadal has twice before won back-to-back ATP Masters Series titles (Monte Carlo/Rome in 2005 and 2006). He has won seven ATP Masters Series shields in total during his young career, including three on hard courts (Indian Wells 2006, Canada 2005 and Madrid 2005).

Sixth seed Tommy Robredo grinded out a 7-6(4), 5-7, 7-6(3) win over Czech Radek Stepanek to reach the Sony Ericsson Open quarterfinals for the first time in six attempts.
