ATP Masters Series to remain in Madrid until 2011
The Madrid city government and Madrid Trophy Promotion, promoter of the Mutua Madrileña Masters Madrid, have signed an agreement to keep the event in Madrid until 2011

"We are very, very happy. The tournament has been a success and, in just four years, it has become one of the best sporting events in Spain. We will continue to work on this direction. Madrid has become a reference in the tennis world and that is one of the reasons why this year we will host as well the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour Championships in November", said Manolo Santana, Tournament Director for both events. Both tournaments will be held in the Madrid Arena, but in 2008 the Caja Magica (Magic Box) stadium will host the men's competition. Madrid first hosted the Masters in 2002. |
