Last weekend’s tickets sold out

The Organization estimates attendance records could be broken and the public could reach 120,000 people throughout the nine tournament days.


Madrid, October 16th, 2005 - The celebration of the Masters Series Madrid’s main draw and the end of the qualifying round have caused, for the second day on a row, that all tickets for the qualifying rounds of the Masters Series Madrid have been quickly sold out. At noon, there were already no tickets available to match the most important tournament held in Spain.

On Saturday 9,843 people had crowded the Madrid Arena. Furthermore, there are no tickets left for the following weekend, from Friday to Sunday. "We are really looking forward to breaking our own attendance record, that is to say the 116,543 people who visited us two years ago, when Ferrero was top of the ranking", said Manolo Santana, Tournament Director.

This fourth year’s Masters Series Madrid is supported by Madrid’s Town Hall, as well as Mercedes Benz, Telefónica, Grupo Prasa, Prosegur, NH Hoteles, Air Europa, Lacoste, Indesit, ISS, Hugo Boss, Quijote, Adecco, Master Cadena, Schweppes, Mahou, Ricoh, Penn and Waterfold Cristal.
