120,000 persons will attend Madrid Arena during the tournament

Tickets for Friday evening, semifinals and finals have been sold out and the rest of the days are following its footsteps.

Madrid, 14th of October, 2005 - The presence of this year´s sensation, Rafa Nadal, among other outstanding players, will assure that this year´s attendance at MastersSeriesMadrid will surpass previous editions of the tournament.

It´s already impossible to purchase tickets for Friday night´s (21st of October) and the semifinals and finals have been sold out (Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd).

Ticket sales for the rest of the tournament are maintaining a steady pace. Very few tickets are left for Thursday night´s matches. Evening matches of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are very nearly sold out and day matches will be more than half full with somedays exceeding three fourths capacity.

An example of the excitement that Masters Series Madrid is creating among tennis fans is the affluence of spectators for the two days of preliminary matches (Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th of October). Madrid Arena will surpass 50% capacity and with last minute sales it will be able to reach 75% capacity.

2005 is the fourth edition of Masters Series Madrid. The 2002 edition received a total of 104,000 spectators, a figure which was increased to 117,000 the following year (which delighted home fans with the participation and ultimate victory of Juan Carlos Ferrero, Nº 1 in world Ranking). Last year the public once again responded and had over 100,000 spectators. This year the tournament is expected to surpass 120,000 fans.
