JOIN THE TEAM OF VOLUNTEERS OF MUTUA MADRILEÑA MASTERS MADRID
Once again, the Organisiers of the Mutua Madrileña Masters Madrid welcomes and encourages you to participate as a volunteer during the tournament that takes place in the Recinto Ferial de la Casa de Casa from the 11th to the 19th of October 2008.
This year will see the seventh edition of the tournament, and it will take place for the last time in the Recinto Ferial de la Casa de Campo. The tournament, on its way to becoming one of the best tennis tournaments in the World, will change dates and location in 2009, taking place in May in the new facilities of the “Caja Magica”.
Therefore, this year will be a nostalgic one in its history. We will say farewell to the facility that has seen the tournament consolidate its position as one of the biggest events in the sporting and social calendar of Spain. We want the volunteers to be a part of this moment, and likewise, they will be a fundamental part in the new combined tournament project from 2009 onwards.
To be a volunteer in the MMMM means being a fundamental part of it and as such, we hope that’s what you will feel. We all recognise the role of the volunteers and how they help improve our work.
In addition, we are conscious of the value that the Volunteers bring to the tournament. For this, we have initiated a number of programmes during the year targeted specifically at the volunteers in an effort to demonstrate how important they are and to consolidate this importance. These actions range from the sending of a calendar and a Christmas letter of congratulations, to contests in the Grand Slams with interesting prizes. And we have so many ideas for the future!!!
If you want to take part as volunteer now you can do it. You will have to complete the on-line form that you will find in the on-line form here, and in a brief period of time we will contact ourselves with you to summon yourself for a few personal interviews that we will do here later on.
As an improvement this year, we offer you the opportunity to know beforehand the details of the positions therefore in the application form you should choose at least two of them. If you want a description of the positions then click here.
Please complete all the steps that we indicate and when you come to the meeting please do not forget to bring us the copy of the form (printed) and a photocopy of your ID card or Passport.
Those of you that are not resident in Madrid or in Spain, will also have to complete the form on-line, and after a short period we will be in touch with you.
To be part the group of volunteers of the Mutua Madrileña requires dedication, time, effort and COMMITMENT, but it also offers you the opportunity to entertain and interact with people in a different environment. To integrate into the team requires a level of responsibility that you will have to bear in mind when carrying out your duties and also during the personal interviews along with the training before the event.
FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION YOU WILL RECEIVE:
- Complete uniform (trousers, long sleeve polo shirt and sneakers).
- Volunteer's Accreditation. Personal and untransferable.
- Catering (lunch or dinner according to the schedule that you choose).
- 16 tickets: 2 tickets per session, from Saturday, 11th of October (previous) until Wednesday, 15th of October (including night session), so that you can invite friends or family.
- A certificate signed by the Tournament Director where he will credit your participation in the event.
- Accident Insurance.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Operations department:
Store and RRMM: They are responsible for the delivery and the distribution of drinks. Distribution will include the volunteers' room, the players lounge, wardrobes, press room and other areas.
Player’s Stand: A platform placed in the central court dedicated to the player’s guests and tournament guests.
Accreditations: Organising managers and distributors of personal accreditations for the tournament.
Airport welcoming: These volunteers will take charge of greeting the players and other guests on behalf of the tournament and accompanying them up to the official car that will transport them to the tournament facilities.
Public Speaker: This volunteer will take charge of transmitting public announcements through the public announcement system. They must have good communication skills.
Catering Organisation: These volunteers will be responsible for supervising the restaurant where organisation members dine.
Access control of stands: This will be the largest group of volunteers. They will support access control of the stands keeping them clean and clear while the games are in progress. This is a desirable position since you will be able to enjoy the best of the tennis.
Commercial Department:
Support of Company package’s: Control and support of guests' bus, between the tournament and the Restaurant Palacio de la Misión.
Tickets VIP / Parking VIP: Access control and supervision of stays in VIP parking.
Department of Marketing and Television:
Promotions: The volunteers for this position will deal directly with the spectators, communicating activities, presenting gifts and coordinating special events for our sponsors.
Press Centre: They will collaborate with the accredited media, attending to requests and providing utility information for the journalists.
Photographers' Room: They will assist the tournament photographers with uploading daily photos to the web page along with cataloguing and distribution to the mass media.
Reprography: Managers of the photocopies of the communiqués in the Press Centre and of the distribution of press clippings.

Ticket Sales Support: Distribution of reserved tickets in the ticket collection office
